Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong is a narrative RPG developed by Big Bad Wolf and published by Nacon. As a disaster threatens the masquerade in Boston, three Vampires set out to uncover the truth and survive the machinations of both the Second Inquisition and their fellow Kindred, or die trying.

What Happens if Players Send Journey to the Prince?

Sending Journey to the Prince allows Leysha to prove her innocence during the scene, and allows a grateful Journey to appear in Elysium later on in the game. Sending Journey to the Prince and then, while playing as Leysha, uncovering the file that proves Journey’s innocence will unlock the “Merciful” Trait. This trait gives Leysha a +10% success rate on Rhetoric ties, which can be useful when interacting with other characters or when trying to blend in with various groups.

What Happens if Players Tell Journey to Run?

Telling Journey to run is a more complicated affair as doing so will trigger a confrontation between Emem and Journey. Emem needs to convince Journey to leave and take refuge with the Anarchs, which she does not initially consider to be an option. As a result, this will require Emem to give the following answers during the confrontation:

“Make Her Think I Have Evidence Against Her” (This requires a Persuasion of at least 2) “April” “She Needs to Trust Me” (This requires at least one level of Psychology)

After winning the confrontation, Journey will leave to join the Anarchs and Emem will have to report back to the Prince. At this point, choosing to admit to helping Journey escape earns Emem the “A Sin Confessed” trait, which grants Emem a +10% success rate on Rhetoric ties. This will come in handy several times later on in the game when interacting with other characters. Additionally, Journey will eventually be found again when Emem visits the Anarchs towards the end of the game.
