The statue’s chest was painted with a blue “M” over the top of Greek alpha and omega symbols. Its face was marred with a blue stripe with a yellow stripe down its arm and a yellow splotch in the crotch.

The statue rests outside Spartan Stadium where Michigan State will play its home opener against Oregon on Saturday.
