In September the team undergoes “Hell Week,” in which they are subject to 5 a.m. wake-up calls and are split into teams to go through different intense activities from running with weighted sandbags to going on search missions through the woods.
“Communication, leadership, team building. They’re always going to hit us with some form of adversity,” Smart says in the video. “It’s good for our guys because that’s what we’re going to face in games that we play on the road and against great teams.” Smart man, no pun intended.
